I am a 1st class, BA (hons) Textile Design graduate with my degree having a specialist focus in luxury embroidery
I have an illustrative approach to fashion and textiles and always have a working sketchbook in progress. Throughout my degree, I have worked conceptually and collaboratively and have embraced experimentation with a sustainable attitude to sample production.
My graduate collection “Ethereal Intimacy” was inspired by the Roman love story of Eros and Psyche, this showcased unique, romantic, and illustrative embroideries exclusively on soft tulles and stretch mesh as well as elegant silk chiffons, silk satins, and silk organza. I aspire to work in high-end, luxury bridalwear or lingerie surface manipulation, and illustration. Finding innovative ways to merge my love for surface design and lingerie is something I am constantly exploring.
From 2020 to 2022, I took time away from university to intern with Atelier Bordelle to professionally develop my creative skill set with industry experience. I assisted with pattern cutting and lingerie sampling and worked collaboratively with the team to meet demanding deadlines for seasonal collections. My internship successfully led to employment within Bordelle’s Customer Service and E-commerce department. Here, I efficiently responded to client emails, assisted with Photoshoots and maintained strong communication with clients and members of the Bordelle Team.
I find inspiration in flora, fauna, the female form and romantic literature. These themes closely link with my passion for lingerie and bridalwear as they embody gentle femininity and traditional romance. I am incredibly driven and thrive in creative environments, Whether in my home studio or a professional setting.
